Can Hip Hop survive stereotypical negativity?

The Hip Hop music industry has been viewed as negative & misguiding to our youth, in today's scoiety. So with the recent arrest of female rapper Remy Ma, and the occuring death of Queens rapper Stack Bundles , can Hip Hop simply survive this tainted negativity aspect of our culture? And what do you think we can do, to change these judgemental views from the media?

HIP HOPS SURVIVAL DIDN'T START WITH THE LIKES OF REMY MA AND HER ACTIONS. NOR CAN IT END WITH HER... OUR YOUTH ARE MORE AWARE OF THE DRAMA'S THAT PLAGUE US THEN THEY ARE GIVEN CREDIT. HOWEVER, COLLECTIVELY WE HAVE NOT FOUND A WAY TO CHANGE THE ABUSE OF SELF... THE STATE WHERE WE ARE TAKEN LIFE FOR GRANTED HIP HOP HAS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE AN OUTLET... TO THINGS SEEN, DESIRED OR EVEN FANTASIZED ABOUT

It may not start or end with remy ma but this is another prime example that something must be done. When hip hop started yes it was an outlet about things seen and experienced but now it has become something else. It has gone way too far. Some have not been able to draw the line between fantasy and reality. It is degrading our people and encouraging our youth to hustle, sell & use drugs, and I won't even mention this gun thing. We all see the problems around us when is someone gonna rap a solution and bring something positive to the community and our ears.

Negativity in hip-hop? Sure. You can find negativity if you look for it, even in church! Why don't ya'll just chill and think positive. Rap and hip hop is good for America as it fuels the economy with it's sales of music, and promotion of hip hop jewelry such as the tremendously popular mouth grillz and iced out jewelry. Rap and hip hop is good for America.

I think the first thing that can be done is not to judge events of rappers from ''the media'' as we all know that people of color/females dont get a ''squareshake''from the media. ie.''Don't belaeve all you read and half of what you see.''Also I feel that rappers are people to,and if their fans feed their kids and pay for their ''Bling''then they owe us some politcal respect, like in the Jena 6 case, the rappers ''no show''said it all,and what they think of ''US'' the fan's. Well then I don t buy your ''CD'S'' you don't rep your people but you can put woman down?nah aint happenin!people must set the restraints on the rappers.$$$$$say's it all it is a measure in the Amerikkkan Society of Success. As far as their ''personal''life that is their bizz, and If people are going to beleave all they read that is there problem. But what I think is more important is that the rap medium be used for creativity and communication in the Mode of ''change'' as in unity. As in Gone Global..World Wide..we genreate a lot of $$$$$ and that means power in the Amerikkkan World, and beyond! how we use it is up to ''US'' if ego driven, and separatisim keeps prevailing we will be asking the same questions year after year with NO solution as the world moves on.

Hip hop today is an incredible force upon American youth and even beyond on a global level. Hip hop and rap has created entirely new industries such as the hip hop jewelry upgraded the look of the common drinking cup to the majestic looking pimp cups, has virtually created a new and expanding language, and have even affected the automotive industry with such bold customizations as large spinning bling bling wheels and transformed fashion and clothing in an unprecedented way and so much more. Hip hop is no doubt way more influential and powerful than rock and roll.
